I will be the first to admit I am a sun seeking photographer (basically meaning I’m obsessed with the sun!), but I have recently found a new beauty in gloomy overcast days as well.  Why? For one, you can take a picture anywhere and anytime and not worry about sun flare, glare, harsh shadows, and everything you normally have to look for a time when shooting in the sun.  You can let the full of life toddlers run wherever they want and capture at almost any angle because… well you probably get it by now, we aren’t having to work around the sun.

Though this soon to be family of four’s session ended up being an overcast day, this sweet baby bump was far from gloomy!  With the sheer pregnancy glow of Mom, to the fun and adventures soon to be big brother, to the go with the flow Dad this family and I were still able to make gorgeous pictures on this gloomy day!  I even learned a new phase for when I wanted this sweet big brother to smile… “cheese and cookies!”
